A Timeline Update
We have to start this letter out with this the overflow of how we are feeling; we are SO grateful for your ongoing prayer and support. It is the foundation that makes everything we do possible. We wanted to take a moment to share where we are, what God has been doing, and what the road ahead looks like as we prepare to return to Europe.
Where We Are Now
Most of you know our story already, but for those of you who are new here (or missed our last update!), these are the highlights:
After nearly five years serving in Hungary, we returned to the U.S. where we have been working at OMS Headquarters, deepening our vision for missions in general but especially Europe, and preparing for what comes next. Daniel is currently studying missiology at Asbury Theological Seminary as part of his preparation for ordination in the Global Methodist Church, equipping him to serve the church's global mission with even greater depth.
A year or so ago OMS asked us to prayerfully consider returning to Europe in a leadership role as field directors of Hungary. We have been seeking God's guidance, and we are excited about what He is opening up. Moving into this opportunity allows us to mentor and support missionaries and foster effective ministry across the region.
SUPPORT UPDATE
We are currently at about 60% of our monthly support goal.
We need approximately $5,000/month to reach 100% and make our December departure possible.
Every gift — one-time or monthly — brings us one step closer.
Our Road to December: The Timeline
Here is our planned journey from now through our return to Hungary:
Now – Aug 2026 | Actively raising support, meeting with churches and donors, and reaching our funding goal |
Sept 2026 | Final preparations: logistics, packing, and farewell gatherings with our sending community |
Oct – Nov 2026 | Transition period: wrapping up responsibilities at OMS HQ and final pre-field training |
December 2026 | DEPART — Return to Hungary to begin field director role with OMS Europe |
What We’re Returning To

Hungary is not a mission field we’re starting from scratch, God has been at work there for years through OMS. We are returning to a church that is growing and maturing and we are excited to be a part of that.
Part of desire to return in December is to be there in time to host a University class visiting from Taylor University in January; a group of students eager to experience missions firsthand. Here is what else is already underway:
- English camps and clubs continue to bring children to faith and connect them with the local church.
- Band-style discipleship groups have started among Methodists and two other denominations.
- Church planting conversations are underway with the Methodist Church and two other partners.
- Hungarian believers are already going cross-culturally — one to Cuba, two to the camp in Spain.
- Relationships with Methodist and Wesleyan Alliance, Calvary Chapel, and non-denominational partners remain strong.
Our role is not to run the ministry, it is to catalyze, encourage, and empower. The Church in Hungary is mature enough to lead. We are going to walk alongside them as they do.
