We are Going Back!

In the interest of not burying the lead (and if the title of this left any room for guessing)... We’re going back to Hungary!

After two years at OMS headquarters in Indiana, we’ve said yes to returning to Hungary, this time as Field Directors. It’s a role we honestly didn’t expect at all, and one we’ve spent a lot of time praying over. But the more we sat with it, the clearer it became: this is exactly where God is calling us.

(As you can guess, there is a lot more to this story, and hopefully we can write more of it out soon, but for now, we would love to be able to share our discernment process with you in person, if you are interested.)

Over the years of ministry in Hungary, students have come to faith at English camp, translators have grown, and Hungarian believers have taken their first steps into discipleship. Daniel even got to help build a church from the ground up and Amanda got to walk through discipling a young woman over 2 years. But it’s not a finished story, not even close. We believe God is building something real and we have found a peace to step into what’s next.

We are excited to shepherd the field as God continues to grow this ministry.

As Field Directors, our role won’t be to run the ministry ourselves. It will be to come alongside the missionary team and our Hungarian church partners and help them build something that will outlast any of us.

This will look like equipping local leaders, multiplying discipleship (especially through pouring into our established network of translators), supporting church plants, and one day seeing Hungarians lead their own missions-sending movement.

We are especially excited about that last part; did you know that Hungary has access to parts of the world that are closed to Western missionaries? We don’t want to waste that.

We’re also heading back with a full family in tow this time. Arlo is thriving, and we welcomed a new little one, Felicity, in January. Life is full, and we’re aware of how much we’re asking of you as we step into this next chapter.

So here’s where things stand: we’re currently at about 50% of our monthly support goal. We need to reach 100% before we can make the move. That means we still need people to say yes to partnering with us monthly—people like you.

If you’ve supported us before, thank you.

Genuinely.

You helped build the foundation we’re now standing on.

If you’ve been following along but haven’t yet partnered with us financially or if you have in the past but no longer do, this is a great moment to consider it. Monthly gifts—even smaller ones—make an enormous difference when it comes to planning and sustainability on the field.

You can give at onemissionsociety.org/buck

Reach out to us directly and we’d love to talk.

And if giving isn’t the right fit right now, we’d love your prayers.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. We’re so thankful you’re in our corner!

April Prayer Focus

April Prayer Focus

For April we are praying against spiritual strongholds that exist in Hungary specifically. Again, we created this calendar because we believe in the power of prayer and are so thankful you are willing to join us in praying for the people of Hungary, that they get to experience the love of God. We believe God is present and moving in Hungary, but there are some strong cultural barriers that continue

March Prayer Guide

March Prayer Guide

Our March prayer prompt is for our family. We will ALWAYS take your prayers, we know that your prayers are the only way we can do any of this. Specifically this month you can pray for our continued adjustment to being a family of 4. Pray for both Arlo and Felicity, that they continue to grow physically healthy and strong. But please also pray that they grow deeper in their
