Happy New Year!

An update from Daniel on the end of last and beginning of this year.

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas time. I (Daniel) had a chance to be with all my sisters in the same place for the first time in 5 years. It was a great time to see and enjoy family time together.

Regional Leadership Team Meetings- The difference between living in the states and living in Hungary were immediately in stark comparison with the start of the new year. The first week back to work marked the annual Regional Leadership Team meetings here in Greenwood, where the Regional Leaders from the four regions come together for in-person meetings. These meetings started the year off quickly and intensely, while in Hungary usually the first few weeks back were slow as our partners rested after Christmas.

The main goal of these meetings was for the regional leaders to identify what their main goals, or the “big rocks” God has given them to move this year.

Personally, what made these meetings exciting was the opportunity to present the work I have done to the leaders who get to implement them and really help all the missionaries do their jobs better and without impediment. I have been working with training and continued education for missionaries, and using my experience in business as missions and Lausanne missions group to clear up and give greater clarity to what OMS does in business missions.

It really felt like in my time on the field God gave me the experiences to help at this moment and the opportunity to speak into this and various other topics was incredibly humbling.

Ukraine Summit- This Spring as a Global Ministries team we are looking towards a Ukraine Summit (planning for the future and a chance to rest and recuperate). Although news coverage has diminished, the war continues in Ukraine and it presents unique challenges and difficulties to the missionaries serving there.
Please pray with us over this time with the team all together.

Bits and Bobs-  I will be on the event planning team for the church multiplication seminar coming up and hopefully the final stages of the trainings project I have been working on will soon be complete.
Funding:
Fundraising Needs-  As some of you may have seen or been approached about we are in a season of funding. By coming back to the states our financial goals have increased, as it is more expensive to leave here than in Budapest. We moved into a house on OMS campus which helps keeps cost low, but we are still needing to raise $2500/month.

What would be beneficial for us right now is if you would prayerfully consider sharing our contact information, or passing along people who you think would be interested in partnering with us.

Family updates:
House Moving-  We just finished moving into a HOUSE on OMS campus. We are so thankful for the blessing of a house (especially as Arlo is growing and running everywhere!) We realized we have never lived together in house of our own, and we are looking forward to making it home.
1.) We did a lot of our packing while Arlo was preoccupied making a mess 2.)Arlo enjoyed the whole moving process, especially playing with old things in new ways! 3.)Again, Arlo was very hands-on with moving help.

Joys:
Christmas with Family-  We mentioned this at the beginning, but this was our first time together with both of our big families since we have been married and while it was a little bit of a shock at times, it was incredibly sweet and wonderful.
Arlo Dances- This might sound funny, but we have discovered that Arlo LOVES music! He almost demands we have music playing most of the day and he can truly bust a move, he seems to have inherited his dad's dance moves. It is so joyful to watch him just enjoy.

Oh baby! Another update re: Inductionary update!

Oh baby! Another update re: Inductionary update!

It has been said many times and many ways, "you can't keep a good man down." However, I might adjust it slightly in this occasion..."you can't keep a good baby in!" For those who many have missed it in the various emails. Amanda was scheduled for an induction this past Wednesday. After further review the doctor's decided things were

An Inductionary Update

An Inductionary Update

An update from Daniel: Hello and sorry for the pun, but I am going to be a dad again, so it feels appropriate! So as to not bury the lead further, Amanda and I found out last week that Amanda will be induced this week (Wednesday morning). Baby girl is looking healthy and strong, but they have labeled Amanda's fluid on the "low side of normal"

New Year, New Theme

New Year, New Theme

A post from Daniel Happy New Year!  We hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas and your New Year is off to a great start. As we start to look at a new baby coming in February, this year feels like it will be filled with many new things!  For a few years now resolutions have felt unhelpful to me. They feel too easy to fail or get behind
