Meet the Bucks

We're back in the States and ready to take what we've learned in the field and serve the hundreds of fellow OMS missionaries located all around the world.

Our start in Hungary

Daniel and Amanda Buck were married in 2019 and shortly thereafter moved to Budapest, Hungary, to serve with One Mission Society. After three years of service, their son, Arlo, was born in Budapest.

The Bucks are passionate about living out and sharing what they call “the upside down” kingdom of God here on earth right now. The couple works out of a firm belief that God desires to be in a relationship with everyone, and that is not a task done in isolation.

Back in the U.S.A

After five years working in Hungary, Amanda, Daniel, and Arlo have moved to Greenwood, Indiana, to serve at the OMS World Headquarters. Daniel works with the Global Ministries Department, where helps manage hundreds of missionaries around the world.

Amanda also works part-time in the Mobilization Department, meeting and shepherding those interested in missions.

What you'll get on this blog

We want to see missionaries, churches, and ultimately every individual deeply living into their unique calling to share the gospel but acknowledge that physical distance, cultural differences, and communication issues bar this from happening. Our goal is to bridge these gaps by providing practical support and guidance.

We can't wait to work with you to make sure missionaries have the tools, training, and support they need to accomplish their mission.

God Bless,

Daniel & Amanda Buck

An Inductionary Update

An Inductionary Update

An update from Daniel: Hello and sorry for the pun, but I am going to be a dad again, so it feels appropriate! So as to not bury the lead further, Amanda and I found out last week that Amanda will be induced this week (Wednesday morning). Baby girl is looking healthy and strong, but they have labeled Amanda's fluid on the "low side of normal"

New Year, New Theme

New Year, New Theme

A post from Daniel Happy New Year!  We hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas and your New Year is off to a great start. As we start to look at a new baby coming in February, this year feels like it will be filled with many new things!  For a few years now resolutions have felt unhelpful to me. They feel too easy to fail or get behind
