An Inductionary Update
An update from Daniel:
Hello and sorry for the pun, but I am going to be a dad again, so it feels appropriate!
So as to not bury the lead further, Amanda and I found out last week that Amanda will be induced this week (Wednesday morning). Baby girl is looking healthy and strong, but they have labeled Amanda's fluid on the "low side of normal", so they think it will be best to greet her a little early.
We would appreciate your prayers and praises this week as we are excited to meet baby girl in person!
This does come with stress and some feelings of unsettledness and finding what to do with those reactions is difficult. Arlo came early at 36 weeks and our time in the NICU was difficult. We are thankful that next week marks 37 weeks for baby girl. While I was processing through some of this, a podcast happened across my social media feed and while it talked about anger it also spoke about peace and ended with the hymn "Be Still my Soul."
I shared in a recent interview with my board of ministry how in walking with God the part that has become so important to me recently is recognizing the intimacy of God. I think God in his love has nestled this induction right as I have finished reading Genesis and seeing how God was on Joseph's side and brought him peace, and then this podcast reminding me again of this hymn, giving me something to hum as a prayer when stress muddies my words.
As I ask for prayer this week, we are also praying Col 3:15-16 (NIV) over you and hope the hymn speaks wisdom to you:
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
